If Traci Kennedy wasn’t working at Venture Mortgage, she says that she’d probably be managing a restaurant. No, it’s not an infatuation with the food service industry, it’s the fun of serving and interacting with people – the same role she plays every day at Venture Mortgage, albeit it at a more sophisticated level. A self-professed “people person,” Traci is at her best when using her interpersonal skills to balance the unique personalities, needs and concerns of borrowers and lenders alike. A bit of a perfectionist, she says she also gets a lot of satisfaction from a job well done.
A lifelong resident of Bloomington, Minn. (not counting her college years at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, N.D.), Traci credits her father for making her the woman she is today. A hard-working entrepreneur who built a successful company from the ground up with integrity, character and honesty, her dad is also compassionate and generous – traits she says have shaped her personal and professional career.
Traci finds contentment in down-to-earth leisure-time pursuits, including spending time with family, golfing, water sports and skiing. She has a special fondness for children and animals – social causes that consume most of her volunteer time.
